It was in the afternoon, yesterday, when I first got to know about the NOKIA Music Boot Camp happening at The Park, in the evening (thanks to @twilightfairy). Immediately got in touch with Songita and got myself an invite.
Thanks to #delhirains, I ended up a little later than the scheduled time. However, the event finally started rolling after 8pm. The idea behind the Boot Camp was to get people acquainted with their recently launched Music Store. Yes, I know, it sounds like an iTunes clone. But then again, how many of us has a better idea of a music store?
While the show started off with a little demonstration of the Music Store, the quiz that followed, was a great way of forcing people to navigate within their software. However, I have, and shall continue to have, a complaint against all the major mobile phone manufacturers for not publishing softwares for the Linux platform. So, naturally, I wasn’t too excited about their offering.
And then there was this awesome performance by a fusion band called Advaita. What can I say? I hadn’t heard of them ever before but the kind of music they played, along with the effect of live music, you could die to get immersed within that environment. Yes, you guessed it right, their music is highly recommended!
On the whole, it went great. It was good to meet up with @jeetblog, @techim, @abhishek, @twilightfairy, @realin and @kinshuksunil. Oh yes, a special mention for the Bloggers’ Mind’s team because they even hired us cabs to go back home
And now, I shall leave you guys with a bunch of photos I had clicked at the event.

The Boot Camp didn't start before 8pm

The crowd at the conference hall

The Park - That's where the boot camp was.

That's the Samsung Laptop provided by the guys at NOKIA/The Park/Bloggers' Mind for us to use and check out the new NOKIA Music Store

@twilightfairy and I downloaded Firefox on their very laptops for browsing. IE6 sucks big time!!

That's a great band. Highly recommended music.

The Advaita bandwagon used all sorts of intruments in their music, even a loudspeaker :-p

That's Kinshuk and I. I had gone right after the day's work. So, pardon the tired look.
